Dr. TAI Hei Yan, Diane
Specialist in Orthopaedics and Traumatology
Dr. Diane Tai is an accomplished Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 15 years of clinical and academic experience. Her career is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of surgical innovation and evidence-based practice to deliver outstanding patient care.
She earned her medical degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2006 and completed her residency at Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH), dedicating over a decade of service to the public sector before transitioning to private practice in 2020. In 2013, she obtained her specialist qualification in Orthopaedic Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, focusing her post-fellowship training intensely on foot and ankle reconstruction alongside sports surgeries.

As a leader in her field, Dr. Tai serves as a Council Member of the Hong Kong Foot and Ankle Society and is the Editor of the Journal of Emergency and Trauma Care. She is heavily committed to medical education, actively training orthopaedic residents and contributing widely to academic literature. Her core clinical and research interests include arthroscopic surgery, sports injuries, and complex foot and ankle surgery.

戴希恩醫生是一位成就卓越的骨科專科醫生，擁有超過 15 年的臨床與學術經驗。她一直致力於推動手術創新及循證醫學實踐，旨在為患者提供最優質的醫療護理。
戴醫生於 2006 年畢業於香港中文大學醫學院，隨後於伊利沙伯醫院 (QEH) 接受骨科專科培訓。她在公立醫院服務超過十年，並於 2020 年轉為私人執業。2013 年，戴醫生考獲愛丁堡皇家外科學院骨科專科院士資格，其院士後培訓深造重點專注於進階足踝重建及運動醫學手術。

Dr. Tai’s clinical research agenda centers on developing and evaluating minimally invasive techniques and arthroscopic interventions to optimize post-operative recovery, minimize pain, and restore long-term joint function. Her portfolio is built upon two core pillars:

Foot & Ankle Reconstruction: Investigating advanced arthroscopic techniques—including ATFL repairs and subtalar arthrodesis—alongside anatomical nerve variations to improve surgical outcomes and joint stability.

Trauma Care Optimization: Re-evaluating surgical protocols, such as novel entry points for intramedullary nailing, and reviewing regional trauma systems to improve clinical efficiency and patient recovery pathways.
